A new way to think about steam production
A brand collaboration of three major companies follow the lead of software by offering steam as a service (SaaS). An IoT monitoring technology detects problems before they happen in steam boilers, a whole new business model that each client was eager to promote. Steam as a service lowers a company’s need for capital since everything is handled by the partnership, from purchase and installation to insurance. The objective of this video was to show all of that and more to make a case for the investment.
Flying Monkeys Media developed a deep understanding of each company’s product offering within this service. We used these insights to properly interview the teams, film the right content and edit a story that sold the innovation. Our focus was to provide equal value for each brand, both from a visual and educational aspect.
Our crew chose to shoot at the boiler factory knowing it would be visually appealing and provide context around the product. The team utilized b-roll, client interviews and motion graphics to bring depth and balance. We took marketing materials and turned static charts into animated visuals to make the end product more engaging for viewers who are not as familiar with SaaS.
